CLOCK & TRAIN (1978, 3'00)
As the train pulls out of the station I start winding the film through the camera, but before it runs out I reverse the motion and wind the film back to the beginning. The result is a double-exposure — the view through the window passes in opposite directions, as a clock runs backwards as well as forwards, and a cigarette burns shorter and longer.
NIGHT TRAIN (1979, 2'00)
The sound of lights passing through a dark landscape seen from a moving train. NIGHT TRAIN is a timelapse film that reduces the journey from Birmingham to London to 2 minutes.
