Avante was the name of a school textbook from triumphant Franco's Spain in the early 50s. On every page were instilled traditional Catholic teaching and authoritarian, reactionary ideological discourse. Drawing on these four volumes transformed into palimpsests meant engaging in a trial of strength to oppose the text with the presence of a foreign figure, a playful dance, and then rendering the ideological content illegible. Single-screen film or installation in vertical projection.
