AMPLIFIER observes the presence and significance of time and history in our everyday surroundings. It focuses on the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, completed in 1938 for the Olympic games that never took place. This epitome of pure functionalistic architecture stands as a landmark for utopia and the man's oblivion and neglect of history. Distant sounds resonate inside the desolate monument, where dance and magic, body and stone, the past and present merge in a symbolic and physical encounter.
