Michel Bulteau and Matthieu Messagier met for the first time in 1967. The rare resonance they discovered in one another grew into a deep and poetic friendship. They began writing together and, that same year, shot their first 8 mm film, Une Voyelle B, whose screening in March 1968, in a cinema on rue Cassette in Paris, took place amid insults.
