IF YOU GIVE ME MY NAME

by Leslie THORNTON
2026 / Video / color / sound / 1 screen / 5' 17

Thornton’s recent work presents a visceral trip through a nightmare in which a child’s body is represented as an insect tumbling towards annihilation. Using visual metaphor, a bottomless black tunnel is represented as a stream of hand-written technical notes and the child/insect is saved by a memory, when she recalls her ability to fly.
