Atreyee, a young Bengali woman leaves Calcutta in search of a new life in Bombay. She finds
paying guest accommodation in the suburbs. In a series of still photographs, the film records her
establishing daily routines. Eventually, she travels home to Calcutta. Marriage is an option to
lonely and disinterested modern life.
