"Synchronized to a song from an American musical I've Never Seen a Smile Like Yours, STUDIE No. 5 uses fine figures, as if they were actually the lines of the choir in a number of "musical", pairs of men and women in a decorative choreography. But Fischinger also had fun by arranging some surprises with sudden changes in shape and size, by making iconic references to cartoons sound like musical sounds and even wave sounds."
