by Oskar FISCHINGER
1935 / b&w / sound / 1S / 2' 00 |
This film was made after the first color advertising for cigarettes. Here Fischinger carefully avoids running the cigarettes (except in a sequence where he does not resist). Cigarettes are used as the abstract forms of the studies and Oskar develops them according to abstract choreographies (synchronized with Mozart's charming music) that can be linked to the optical illusions of the Studies series.
