UN MERCI LOINTAIN

by Jean-Baptiste LENGLET
2008 / Mini DV / b&w / sound / 1S / 5' 10

Un merci lointain is a homage via the Koulechov effect to the cut-up technique as used by William Burroughs in Nova Express: Doctor Benway plays bush telegraph there, by cultivating video cells which are arranged in a surrealist machinery. It is an organised permutation of clusters which varies between 12 and 44 images.
