"This film was made in 1952-53, the heyday of stereoscopic cinema in Hollywood. Hirsh used oscilloscope patterns in complex optical combinations. In harmony with the music of the West Indian carnival, Hirsh conceives abstract ribbons, similar to confetti and streamers, but he also delights in alternative color effects and unusual relationships between objects."
