Group of five films produced in 2011, related to movement studies and relativity. “Getting into Bed” is the remake of the corresponding “film” by Muybridge. It restages the erotical motive that Muybridge naturalizes of a naked woman getting into bed and covering herself with a linen bed sheet. The artists try to capture this in slow-motion revealing the paradoxical structure of the situation which involves describing this movement until a rest position and hiding the body, challenging thus the initial purpose of Muybridge of both accounting for continuous movement and visibility. From this group of films we stand out “Wheels”. In this film you see a sequence of “impossible” shots, all camera edited, where the camera rotates at the same speed as the object being shot- a bicycle wheel and a truck wheel- producing the paralaxe effect of the observer and the object to be static though the rest of the frame is in absolute motion.
