Johannes Krell

Born 1982 in Halle (Saale), Germany, he studied audiovisual media and camera at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. 2013 he took part in the Werkleitz Media Masterclass. Under the supervision of Sophie Maintigneux and Matthias Müller he completed his postgraduate studies in experimental film and media arts at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Nature(s) as spaces of (Self-)Perception is a cinematic trilogy (Still Life, Kaltes Tal, Umbra), which was created in collaboration with Florian Fischer. The works have been shown at several international film festivals and have received the German Short Film Award and the Golden Bear for best short film.
