Stéphane Cousot is a visual artist, teacher, researcher, developer, and web designer. His academic journey through the University of Paris 8, Villa Arson, and the Aix-en-Provence art school sparked a series of reflections on digital practices and tools as a hybrid medium for creation and for translating reality into a poetic form. He has taught visual arts at Paul Valéry University (Montpellier), in the "Digital Creation" professional master's program at Aix-Marseille University, and has been invited to lead workshops or project supervision at the École National des Arts Décoratifs (Paris) and the École Supérieure d’Art d’Aix-en-Provence. With the aim of facilitating the teaching of programming, since 2005 he has been developing open-source tools for real-time image analysis and processing, for transporting geo-located data over networks, and for interfaces on mobile and electronic devices.
