Zhenyu is a filmmaker and video artist. His autobiographical film focus in depicting the landscapes and the people who have been forgotten in the modernization process of Chinese society. As a participator and spectator in his work, he also explores the relationship between himself and the subject which he films.
Zhou Zhenyu graduated with a MFA in Institut Supérieur des Arts de Toulouse(isdaT) in 2018, and majoring in Audiovisual Research and Creation(bac+6) in The E.N.S.A.V. (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Audiovisuel), Versailles in France with his Diploma in 2019. His films have been selected and participated in several film festivals and his video installations have been exhibited in China and abroad since 2013.
