Trained in visual arts (ENSA Dijon, 2012), grounded in aesthetic theory (Université Panthéon-Sorbonne, 2018), and equipped with her critical tools, Alexia Chevrollier (b. 1989, Sens) is an artist who experiments. She explores materials through the development of a multidisciplinary, often collaborative, practice blending sculpture, painting, video, photography, and installation.
Her work has been shown in several group and solo exhibitions in France (Centre Pompidou-Metz, Le Parc Saint Léger-Centre d’art contemporain, Galerie Bertrand Grimont, La Villa Belleville, ART-O-RAMA, Galerie Interface, La Cantine d’art contemporain...) and abroad (Les Brasseurs art contemporain - Liège, Centre culturel Métaculture - Kyiv).
The artist has also been awarded and shortlisted for several prizes (winner of the CRAC Young Audience Prize 2018 and the Côte-D’or Young Talents Prize 2013, finalist of the François Schneider Foundation's Talents Contemporains 2013...) and has completed several research and creation residencies (Prismes, La Villa Belleville, Light Cone...).
