TELCOSYSTEMS

Telcosystems are Gideon Kiers, David Kiers and Lucas van der Velden. Lucas van der Velden (1976, Eindhoven) and Gideon Kiers (1975, Amsterdam) studied at the Interfaculty Image and Sound, a department of the Royal Conservatoire and the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. David Kiers (1977, Amsterdam) studied at the Sonology department of the Royal Conservatoire. They live and work in Rotterdam.

The work of Telcosystems has been shown at museums, galleries and festivals such as IFFR (Rotterdam), Holland Festival (Amsterdam), .MOV festival (Tokyo), Ars Electronica (Linz), EMAF (Osnabrück), Transmediale (Berlin), Sonar (Barcelona), Shortfilm Festival Oberhausen, Short Film Festival Hamburg, Elektra (Montreal), The New York Digital Salon, Woodstreet Galleries (Pittsburgh), Boijmans van Beuningen (Rotterdam), Künstlerhaus (Vienna) and 25fps (Zagreb).
Their film Loudthings received the award for Best Experimental Film at the Ann Arbor Film Festival 2009 and the Grand Prix at 25 FPS 2008 in Zagreb, Croatia.
Vexed received the Peter Wilde Award for Most Technically Innovative Film at the 50th Ann Arbor Film Festival 2012.
