In conjunction with the Preview Show (series of screenings organized annually during which films recently deposited with Light Cone are shown), Scratch Expanded will take place for the fourth year in a row at the cinema l’Action Christine and at the Voûtes. Light Cone will first present three public screenings in the evening between the 15th and the 18th of September. They will be held at the Cinema Action Christine (4 rue Christine, 75006 Paris, métro St-Michel, price: 6€). The first screening will be dedicated to the New York filmmaker Warren Sonbert and presented by Jon Gartenberg. Two screenings will then focus on the work of Rose Lowder, as a film programmer and as a filmmaker. On Tuesday the 16th, Rose Lowder will propose a selection of films from the collection of the Archives du Film Expérimental d’Avignon (AFEA), of which she is one of the co-founders (with Alain-Alcide Sudre). The second evening will be the opportunity to discover Rose Lowder’s new films, among them the last series of the “Bouquets” (“Bouquets 11-20”) as well as “Fleur de Sel”.
Furthermore, the closing evening of Scratch Expanded will be organized on Saturday 18th of September 2010 at 7pm at Les Voûtes, 19 rue des Frigos, 75013 Paris (metro Bibliothèque Nationale). Light Cone will present 3 programs of recent films from Light Cone collection, three 16mm performances by Peter MILLER, two Paul CLIPSON’s Super 8 films with a live-concert by Dominique PICHON and at last two 16mm performances by Bruce McCLURE.
