Dialogue between Jacques Perconte & Vincent Sorrel
Digital has destroyed the natural physical continuity of the photochemical image, and Mont Blanc is collapsing. In his films, Jacques Perconte brings out a new form of realism by manipulating the compression of images that synthesize the real: the artificiality of this digital landscape dramatizes the rupture between nature and its luminous trace. This program is a journey through the most recent works of the filmmaker, who films the disappearance of the image all the while using technology as a sensory developing agent, so as to make visible what is living through that which still vibrates.
