Séance Light Cone - Le BAL / January 12, 2023

LIFE, BODY AND ART, ACCOMPLICES

On January 12 will take place a special event at Cinéma des Cinéastes, within a few steps from Le BAL, in collaboration with Light Cone. On this occasion, fourteen films will be presented that resonate with the theme of the body and which were made within concurrent non-Italian avant-garde and artistic circles (with one exception) between 1960 and 1975, contemporary to the works shown in the exhibition Reversing the Eye, Arte Povera and Beyond 1960-1975: Photography, Film, Video.

This screening will be an occasion to create a dialogue among the various artistic scenes that began using film and video in the 1970s.

Emmanuel Lefrant, director of Light Cone, will present the program, which is punctuated by works by major artists such as Yoko Ono, Bruce Nauman, Marina Abramovic, and Arnulf Rainer.

Reservation is required at this link.
