THE WANDERERS' MARRIAGE is one element from Rodowick's moving image installation, « The Wanderers ». Material for the work is drawn from copies of « Voyage to Italy » and « Vertigo » from which all major male figures have been subtracted. The altered footage is woven to construct a surreal yet emotionally compelling space where the women meander through museums, cemeteries, cities, landscapes - sites of repetition, history, memory, and death, longing, and desire.
