It was while proceeding with the digital restoration of the film Chantilly produced in 1976 that the idea for this project came about. Originally the idea was to give a follow-up to the original film, sort of unrolling all of the graphic elements that were within a "multi-screen" grid; but then, very quickly, it was another film that came to the fore: the combination by superimposition of 80 painted transparent celluloids and monochromes for the backgrounds called for new elements, from another personal and contemporary reality.
