Chances de luz was filmed in my home in Maracaibo during one of my trips to visit my parents after I moved to Spain. The film captures fleeting moments of light and shadow during electric blackouts, a consequence of the ongoing political crisis in Venezuela. Using a Super 8 mm reel, the work is an exercise in in-camera editing, where each frame becomes a delicate exploration of absence and presence, light and darkness, reflecting the instability and resilience of a country in constant flux.
