“La Troya” is a place in Chile where horses are exercised circling tied to a stake. I film this action thinking in the study of animal locomotion by the zoopraxographer Eadward Muybridge, trying to desarticulate the movement of the horse in parts, first in jump cuts until the arrival to the very minimum unity of film: single frames.
The work is also an homage to Malcolm Le Grice because it is inspired in his BERLIN HORSE experimental short film made in 1970.
