Levantamiento de una isla is an audiovisual exercise that explores the narratives and poetics of geography. Through a redrawn book, overlapping maps and the turning of a ceramic pottery, as if it were an atlas, the film creates new palpable landscapes. These landscapes are broken and reconfigured by hand, shaping an island in constant transformation, an act of reconstruction and reimagining of the territory.
