"During her first visit to the Dame Jouanne in the Fontainebleau forest, Marcelle Thirache filmed prehistoric inscriptions for her film VULVA. A second expedition was necessary to obtain more material, on which occasion she invited us to join her. This film is a kind of filmed notepad from this excursion. It was eventful for all of us to discover, with enchanted surprise, the celebration of the vulva. The surrounding nature appeared complicit, offering other forms in resonance with the trip's purpose." – Jennifer Burford
