Bori Máté studied film history and film theory at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. She began making films in collaboration with Péter Lichter in 2016, and completed her first solo project, The Headless Appearance, in 2017. Her films were screened at festivals like Berlin Critics' Week, Jihlava IDFF and Oberhausen Short Film Festival.
