Roberto Taroni began making performance and video art between the mid and late 1970s. In 1977, he began working with Luisa Cividin under the name of Taroni-Cividin and founded the Sixto Notes space in Milan that same year. He is currently part of the group FLATFORM. His works have been presented at international events such as the Venice Biennale, the International Performance Week in Bologna, the International Symposium of Art Performance in Lyon, the Forum '80 in Middelburg, Arte Italiana 1960-1982 in London, and in private galleries and international museums such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Koelnischer Kunstverein in Cologne, the Folkwang Museum in Essen, the Musée d'Art Contemporain in Lyon, the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome and the PAC in Milan.
