Born in Cambodia, Yannick Koller mainly lived in Asia and London. Now lives and works in Paris. Her intercultural and multidisciplinary approach as an artist drove her towards photography, short films, visual and sound installations as well as electroacoustic composition. In Germany, her work is represented by 'Galerie m Bochum’.
The films of Yannick Koller show a body of work that combines visual improvisation with direct camera shooting and free manipulation of the camera. The high tempo structure of her films is syntonized with the rhythmic vibrations of objects and spaces that the artist captures as her primary working material.
