From 2009-2015, Miriam Gossing and Lina Sieckmann have studied experimental film, performance and photography at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne with Matthias Müller, Phil Collins and Sophie Maintigneux. In their montage they are combining documentary images with fictional and found footage elements. Their works have been shown internationally on film festivals and exhibitions (e.g. International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Roxie Theatre San Francisco – USA, Goethe – Institut Toulouse – FRA, European Media Arts Festival Osnabrück, WNDX Festival of Moving Image, Canada). They live and work in Cologne, Germany.

In 2012 they founded the independent art space SCHALTEN UND WALTEN where they have been programming experimental film screenings, exhibitions and performance events in collaboration with international fellow artists.
