For our inaugural screening in the historic Studio des Ursulines cinema (famous for the scandal that broke out during the premiere of Germaine Dulac’s The Seashell and the Clergyman in 1928), Light Cone will be presenting a non-exhaustive selection of contemporary experimental work with films from our collection made between 2012-2014. This program offers a cross-section of Light Cone’s catalog, which is largely made up of films from Europe and North America—two major sites of experimental film production—with a sampling of the work of filmmakers based in countries such as France, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, the United States, and Canada.
