As a follow-up to our last program, which showcased new filmmakers recently accepted into Light Cone's catalogue, this screening will unveil several historic films that have recently entered distribution. This will be an occasion to discover or rediscover a collection of avant-garde classics, which are now available to a wider audience thanks in part to Light Cone's tireless efforts. Of special note are the recently acquired jewels that were featured in the compilations Masterworks of American Avant-garde Experimental Film 1920-1970 and Unseen Cinema: Early American Avant-Garde Film 1893-1941.
