Screening introduced by Vivian Ostrovsky
This program consists of an ensemble of films that share the specificity of having a narrative construction. In the first, the disjointed gaze of the filmmaker's reflection in the common household objects she uses allows the character to keep her mystery; in the others, stories are attributed to actors. Playing with found, borrowed, or filmed images – real or fabricated – a fake/true story is told. Trustworthy biographies are presented as beyond belief, while others, resembling fiction, are shown as plausible ones.
