Screening in the presence of Sabine Groenewegen
By way of a joint program, Périphérie and Light Cone have composed an epilogue to the 27th edition of the festival Rencontres du cinéma documentaire titled Twice upon a time, which is dedicated to "montage" films: films that use archival or found footage, as well as cameraless films that reinvent pre-existing images.
On this occasion will be presented Odyssey by Sabine Groenewegen, a feature-length experimental essay film which was supported by Light Cone's Atelier 105 post-production residency and has received numerous international awards (Doc Alliance Selection Award 2019 - Best Film, Istanbul Experimental Film Festival 2019 - Best Feature).
The screening, which will be the film's Paris premiere, will take place in the presence of the filmmaker, who has chosen to introduce the evening with Covert Action, a short found-footage film by Abigail Child. The projection will be followed by a discussion.
