For Light Cone's 30 years anniversary, the Pompidou Centre presents six programs of films from Light Cone's collection.
The Light Cone catalogue contains films made between 1905 and 2012 by more than 650 artists and filmmakers from around the world, a majority of whom come from either North America, Austria, Germany or France. The Light Cone catalogue does not exclude any era or style, as long as the work can be placed within the broad spectrum of experimental cinema; a large part of the collection is nonetheless made up of several key works from the history of experimental cinema, including the complete cinematographic output of several major artists of the 20th century, films from the 20's and 30's, and the work of the avant-garde from period between the two world wars.
