Screening organized by the Centre audiovisuel Simone de Beauvoir in partnership with Light Cone, with the filmmakers in attendance
The Centre audiovisuel Simone de Beauvoir presents Visite à Su Friedrich, a portrait of Su Friedrich directed by Frédérique Devaux and Michel Amarger as part of their documentary series Cinéxpérimentaux. The screening will take place at the Cité audacieuse and will be followed by a discussion with the three filmmakers.
"Su Friedrich has been living and working in New York City since the late 1970s. The formal and narrative diversity and richness of her works, the variety of the formats and sources she uses and of the genres and themes she explores, the persistence of her activism, and her independence were some of the reasons that led us to this unique artist in 2018."
