Introduced by Mariya Nikiforova
On December 21st, Pittsburgh Sound + Image invites programmer and Light Cone's collection manager Mariya Nikiforova to the Mattress Factory for an evening with 16mm selections from Light Cone's collection, including rarely seen work by experimental filmmakers like Rose Lowder, Paolo Gioli, Christian Hossner, Sarah Pucill and others. The Solstice is the darkest day of the year, after which (thankfully!) the sun starts sticking around longer every day that follows it. In that spirit, we’ve picked a series of shorts that will help you remember what light feels like.
