Giulia Grossmann is a filmmaker and visual artist whose practice lies at the crossroads of experimental cinema, contemporary art, and science. She explores the boundaries between reality and fiction, science and mythology, nature and technology.
Through interdisciplinary collaborations with scientists, philosophers, and researchers, she investigates the human relationship to the environment across multiple scales — from landscapes framed by her camera to invisible worlds revealed by scientific instruments.
Her films have been screened internationally and received several awards. She has participated in numerous artistic and scientific residencies and often works within transdisciplinary research frameworks.
Her practice extends beyond the screen, with exhibitions in both artistic and scientific contexts, and contributions to journals and publications that reflect on new ways of perceiving and representing the living world.
